New York City based DJ/Producer/Remixer/ Harry Choo Choo Romer brings us his
debut single release on Ovum. Harry has been on board for remix projects on the
label, but it is finally time for him to unleash a monster single on the label.
On the A side, Harry brings us Phuture, which is a main room monster. This has
been Josh Winks secret weapon for sometime and now it is available to you. Built
around a computerized female vocal, Harry shows why he is the master of a
driving groove. This driving track should destroy any dance floor. On the B side
we have enlisted label friend Joris Voorn for the remix. Joris has taken an
already big sounding track and added a turbo charger. The remix is a complete
roller and Joris has taken a dubbed out approach with it, but still keeping the
main build vocal. Two great tracks that should be rocking all the festivals and
Ibiza all summer as the 15 Years Of Ovum celebration continues on!

Ovum continue their 15 Year celebration by welcoming back a dear friend. Having previously provided remixes on Ovum releases, we couldn’t be prouder or more excited to welcome back Harry ‘Choo Choo’ Romero for his very own debut release on the label.

Harry ‘Choo Choo’ Romero has been at the forefront of the world’s House scene for many years. Effortlessly straddling the divide of Crossover and Underground, Harry has found huge success in both. Best known for this hit releases on Subliminal and his own Bambossa imprint, including ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’, ‘Night At The Black’, ‘I Go Back’, ‘Dancin” and ‘Tania’. We have also seen him riding high in the recent download charts, with his 2009 remix of Hardrive’s ‘Deep Inside’ reaching #01 on the Beatport rundown.

Today Harry returns to the underground with one of his finest productions to date, ‘Phuture’. Having been throughly road tested by label chief Josh Wink and filed as a ‘secret weapon’, we are now ready to unleash the beast.

A heaving, industrial sized bassline opens the show. Sharp stabs and snare snaps introduce us to the female computerized vocal. Harry creates the toughest and slickest of grooves throughout, and has delivered a track that is set to rock the summers floors.

Charged with the task of remixing ‘Phuture’ is one of the most in form producers of the moment and we are excited to have him on board. Joris Voorn has taken an already killer groove and notched it up a level. Powerful and rolling, the bass and beats are joined by a twisted vocal and bright piano riffs to create fantastic reworking.

Finally, Harry closes the package with his ‘Phuture Dub’. Adding an acidic two note melody that works brilliantly with the original vocal and the Dub’s techier beats. Superb.
