The Vanish – Heartbeat (HereWeAre vs. TheAmplid Remix)
The Vanish came about in 2008 when two long-time friends, Mike Elmgreen and Pete Enestrom, decided to re-create their days playing in punk bands growing up in Australia and create their own cases. Despite living on opposite coasts of the US, the pair exchanged song ideas over the internet from their San Francisco and New York City studios. Their style quickly developed into a boiling fusion of post-punk, nu-wave and electro, complimented by lyrics dealing with identity and conformity. Now based out of New York City, TheVanish came to the attention UK Label, Eye Industries who promptly signed them after the band captured the attention of the blog world in 2009.
Their first single “Hold On” was pushed heavily on BBC Radio 1 by Rob Da Bank and Alex Metric. The second single “Heartbeat” showcases the bands electronic dancefloor side and has a breakdown of epic proportions. The release package features an array of remix talents such as Beaumont, Hierophant Green, Barretso and Horror Shower.
